EINHUNDERT is your partner for the competent and economical operation of your photovoltaic system in the multi tenant self consumption model. With our COMFORT package you cover all requirements of the KfW 40 Plus standard.
With our COMFORT product, we offer you an all-round carefree package. As a rule, we lease your photovoltaic electricity generation unit and thus take over maintenance and insurance. Alternatively, you remain the operator and we take the electricity from you for X cents/kWh. The remaining electricity also comes from EINHUNDERT. In addition, we offer your tenants a great service as a direct contractual partner.
As one of Germany’s leading multi tenant self consumption partners in the KfW 40 plus sector, we always consider the KfW requirements and coordinate them with your solar installer and/or energy consultant. We pay attention to the right size of the PV system and the battery storage as well as to the self-consumption share and the correct visualization of the electricity flows. Please do not hesitate to contact us.
Using intelligent and future-proof metering systems (smart meters) and its own software, EINHUNDERT enables the visualization of the electricity flows (KfW requirements) of your buildings in real time and bills the monthly consumption per user. Learn more about our portal here.
With our app, you always have your system performance in view and can easily allocate incidental costs. Your tenants see their individual consumption and corresponding costs in the tenant portal.
Around 1,500 households already enjoy the benefits of multi tenant self consumption with EINHUNDERT.
Expertise paired with clear and uncomplicated project management. We take over the coordination with all relevant partners and the complete coverage and security for your project.
“Why I decided for multi tenant self consumption, smart metering and digital billing is quite simple: For my tenants, it’s a great way to get cheap electricity and transparent billing, I have no work, but a KfW subsidy and it’s also good for the environment. There are only winners, in my opinion. […] so I have no effort and lease the plant to EINHUNDERT.”
“In order to secure KfW funding for my current new building project, I needed a PV system and a provider that digitally visualizes electricity consumption in the building. Through my solar installer, I then came across EINHUNDERT and am glad that they take care of everything including the role of the energy provider.”
She opted for multi tenant self consumption in the COMFORT package with PV system, heat pump and digital meters and had a 100% tenant participation rate.

The benchmark for the energy efficiency of a new building is the “KfW Efficiency House” defined by KfW. This is determined on the basis of the so-called “reference building”, which is defined in the Renewable Energy Ordinance (EnEV) and meets all minimum legal requirements.
A building whose energy requirement is the same as that of the reference building (i.e. 100%) is a KfW Efficiency House 100. Accordingly, a KfW Efficiency House 55 requires only 55%, etc. The lower the number, the higher the efficiency of the property as well as the funding for the project.
KfW (Credit Institute for Reconstruction) is a German state-owned development bank.
A KfW 40 plus building must meet the same requirements as a KfW Efficiency House 40 in terms of its values, but a plus package must also be implemented.
It includes: a system (e.g. PV) for electricity generation based on renewable energies, a battery power storage system, a ventilation system with heat recovery and a user interface (e.g. an online portal) for visualizing power consumption.
To receive funding for a KfW Efficiency House 40 (plus), you must consult an energy expert. This is an indispensable requirement. You can find expert, certified helpers at www.energie-effizient-experten.de. You will also receive a subsidy from KfW to pay for the energy expert.
We can give you a first indication in the planning phase. A close exchange from the moment you have the building permit and also a planning for the PV/CHP unit makes sense.
At the latest 4 months before the tenants move in, you should decide on a joint implementation, otherwise there may be delays in the delivery of the electricity meters.
EINHUNDERT takes over the exact coordination with the project participants after a first indicative offer to you, so that you know the general conditions.
It is basically important that there must be enough space in the meter room and that the right metering concept is commissioned. A CT (current transformer) meter cabinet must also be taken into account during planning.
Multi tenant self consumption (in multi-apartment buildings) means that the electricity from PV systems or a CHP unit is consumed directly on site. It is therefore decentralized, renewable energy.
This increases the building’s self-sufficiency: you become less dependent on the electricity grid and thus on electricity prices. At the same time, you also reduce your CO2 emissions through multi tenant self consumption.
